Christine Taylor Lewis was born in Warrenton, VA to Horace and Christine Jones Taylor and grew up in the Hayti (Haiti) community. She attended Rosenwald Elementary School from 1954 to 1961 and graduated from William C. Taylor High School in 1966. She received a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Detroit. After retirement in 2013 from Prince William County Government, she became a community volunteer and later joined the AAHA staff. Christine is married to Rev. Philip Lewis, Pastor of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Upperville, VA. They have two sons and their wives, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Christine enjoys Christian fellowship, genealogy research, traveling, sewing, working puzzles and spending time with her family.
